①:as long as 作“只要”解释.
②：这是强调句的标准形式,“it is that”或是 "it is when",一般就这两种形式,分辨一个句子是否为强调句只要：将“it is that”或是 "it is when”去掉之后看这个句子是否是一个完整的句子即可,如果还是一个完整的句子,那么此为强调句.一般设置题目时就在这里设置陷阱.
the first clock with a face and an hour hand was made about 600 years ago .此为一个完整的句子所以是强调句.that不能省略.
应为“第一个有表盘和时针的钟表在大约600年前诞生.”
③B the moment已经从当了连词的角色,加个for多此一举.
④句子意思是“当我听到这个消息的时候,我想我不是在学校就是就是和一个朋友在度假.”

哪些可以放在句中或句首 ,哪些只能放在句中

1.although较正式,语气强
Although he was tired,he went on working.
2.although引导的从句放在主句前后均可,有时还可放在句中.
